Project Management
Today's
successful environmental
testing laboratory must use a broad spectrum of communication tools to
produce high quality data. Client service, communication, and education
support the backbone of the QA/QC process. By using effective
communication tools, ALSI has developed a unique business approach
designed to achieve total client satisfaction. ALSI assigns an
individual project coordinator to each client to provide personalized
service and maintain communication with our clients. Communication
between the laboratory and the client is crucial to the efficiency of
the services provided. We developed this process to provide clients
with quality service, education on new regulations, sampling guidance,
field sampling services, and implementation of QA/QC policies to
produce high quality data. An ongoing effort to enhance communication
and education between the laboratory and its client improves the
overall performance and efficiency of the laboratory and helps maintain
a higher level of QA/QC for the services provided.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control
ALSI's organizational structure is designed to
ensure the utilization
of total quality management
techniques throughout the company. This management approach produces
services in which total
customer satisfacition is achieved. Our clients have come to count on
the quality standards we set.
For every project, regardless of size, we use our in-house Quality
Assurance Manual as the guide to ensure all quality assurance and
quality control expectations are consistently met. In addition, ALSI
will work in conjunction with you to meet the project quality assurance
goals of your quality assurance project plan.
Sample Management
Sample management begins when the sample is
collected in the field.
Whether the sample is collected by the client or an ALSI Field
Technician, your laboratory data can be of little value unless sound
sample management practices are applied. Prior to the initiation of any
new project, the ALSI project coordinator along with the technical
director and/or laboratory manager reviews the regulatory requirements
that are applicable to the project and incorporates them into the work
plan or the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for a specific
project. Sample management controls the flow of a sample or project
beginning at the time of collection to final data deliverables. ALSI
utilizes a Chemware Horizon Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMS which directs the sample and/or project).
