Certifications and Accreditations at Analytical Laboratory Services, Inc.

Certifications and Accreditations

In order to provide assurance that the laboratory can exceed minimum levels of performance required for high quality data, ALSI participates in various certifications and accreditation programs instituted by individual states and third-party agencies. These programs formally recognize laboratories having data quality objectives and performance capabilities consistent with the expectations of the various agencies involved. ALSI holds the following certifications:

Performance Evaluation Studies

Hand-in-hand with the accreditations and certifications by the regulatory agencies listed above, ALSI analyzes performance evaluation (PE) samples as an integral part of ALSI's quality program. Participation in PE programs provides ALSI and its' clients with evidence of correlation of results with other laboratories and national standards. Some of the programs we participate in are as follows:

  • U.S. EPA Water Pollution (WP) Study - for laboratories analyzing wastewater samples
  • U.S. EPA Water Supply (WS) Study - for laboratories analyzing drinking water samples
  • State Agency Studies - As a requirement for certification, ALSI is directed periodically to analyze proficiency samples provided by a particular state agency
  • Environmental Resource Associates (ERA) - for quarterly blind in-house proficiency studies supplied by ERA, a third-party vendor
  • Resource Technology Corporation (RTC) - for laboratories analyzing soil samples; semi-annual performance evaluation studies are supplied by RTC, a third-party vendor
