Testing and Analysis
ALSI has the capacity to analyze a variety
of matrices including drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, sludge,
solid waste, air and soil gas using methodologies and instrumentation
approved for specific regulatory requirements. Our specialty
laboratories include: gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy, gas
chromatography, inorganic metals, water quality-wet chemistry,
microbiology, and biomonitoring.
Methodologies
The
sources of analytical procedures include but are not limited to
Methods for Chemical Analysis of Water and Wastes (EPA 600/4-79-020),
Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (APHA) and
Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste-Physical/Chemical Methods (EPA
SW-846). A set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is available for
each of the laboratory areas. These SOPs are comprised of clear,
complete written instructions for completing each standard test
performed by ALSI.
Instrumentation
Up-to-date
instrumentation is essential in accomplishing the required
scope of work for each method performed at ALSI. ALSI is dedicated to
purchasing and maintaining state-of-the-art instrumentation and support
equipment for the various laboratories. A summary of the types of tests
and instrumentation available to our clients is listed below. If you
have any questions on a specific method or a test that is not listed,
please contact your project coordinator or
sales representative.
